What’s on Tonight: Save ‘Community’!

Community (NBC) — I know I’m leading with these posters, but I’ve always been opposed to desperate “save this show” campaigns — even for brilliant shows like “Arrested Development” — and I’m not going to change my stripes for “Community” regardless of how much I love the show. It’s a slippery slope: one day you’re making well-intended pleas for a great show, the next day you’re eating a bunch of Subway sandwiches for “Chuck” (mediocre fare for mediocre fare). Sorry, but I have principles. Man’s gotta have a code.

Private Practice (ABC) — No “Grey’s Anatomy” tonight, so “PP” steps it up with a two-hour episode. Addison and the other doctors step in and stage an intervention for Amelia, but she’s all, “No I like drinking” and they’re all “We’re doing this because we care about you” and squawk squawk squawk back and forth for two hours while the poor castrated men who watch with their wives pray for longer commercial breaks.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX) — “How Mac Got Fat.” Sign me up for this episode. Afterwards, on The League, Jeff Goldblum and Sarah Silverman guest star in a Thanksgiving episode.

20/20 (ABC) — Katie Couric interviews Regis Philbin on the eve of his retirement. Oh, I’m sorry — you must have me confused with someone who gives a sh*t about Regis.

Thursday Night Football (NFL) — Jets at Broncos. There will be a KSK live-blog, but I’ll be out watching this at a bar after I go to Drew Magary’s Gelf event here in Brooklyn. Go buy Drew’s book!
