Tosh.0 (Comedy Central) — The boy who got detention for farting on the school bus gets a Web Redemption.
Cupcake Wars (Food Network) — Bakers mark the 50th anniversary of the first American in space (Alan Shepard) by making space-themed cupcakes, which are then served at Griffith Observatory. What an honor. Forget statues and plaques, these people made CUPCAKES!
White Collar (USA) — I don’t care how many people tell me this show is worthwhile summer fare, if I see white people in suits talking about money, my eyes glaze over the same way they do when I see movies where British people talk about manners.
The Voice (NBC) — There are only four contestants now. Is one of them the fat country-singing dude? I liked him. (NOTE: I haven’t watched this show in over a month.)
Memphis Beat (TNT) — Oh, hello “Memphis Beat.” I didn’t see your second season come in. Thank you for employing Jason Lee; it’s always good to see him working. Also, I’m sorry that you are not a well-written television show.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Tom Hanks on Letterman; Blake Lively on Leno (rerun); Jason Bateman on Kimmel; Paris Hilton and Neil Gaiman (WEIRD combo) on Ferguson; Louis C.K. on “The Daily Show”; and Elijah Wood on Conan. Hooray for FX stars on my favorite late-night shows.
