Dennis Schröder Told Kent Bazemore To Smack John Wall On His Broken Hand

Did you know that Dennis Schröder and John Wall have beef? Apparently they do, and it’s getting real. Washington Post beat writer Jorge Castillo spoke with Wall before Friday’s Game 6 between the Wizards and Hawks, and the Wiz star took the opportunity to air his grievances against the young German:

Listen, Dennis, there are plenty of acceptable ways to beef (Twitter is popular for that these days), but sending someone else to smack your opponent’s broken hand is not one of them. And why pick Bazemore? He seems like such a cool dude, with his towel-waving and wingspan and whatnot. Wall had the right idea to challenge Schröder, because the Hawks backup guard clearly didn’t try anything after that (if he had, we would have seen the brawl).

I personally couldn’t find any other evidence online of the Schröder-Wall “feud” from the regular season, but the smacking incident was definitely not the only confrontation between the two in Game 5. First there was some very classy pantomime from Wall:

Schröder tried to respond by dunking on Wall, but that did not go super great for Dennis:

If I had to guess, I’d say that right around then is when Schröder had a mini-Tonya Harding episode. In the heat of the moment, it’s understandable a 21-year-old could lose his head. Hopefully now he realizes that the dude he’s beefing with is John Wall, who humiliates people on the basketball court regularly.
