Derrick Rose’s Behind-The-Backboard Layup Shouldn’t Be Possible

A few weeks ago, Derrick Rose stated that he was unequivocally “back.” Basically everyone took those comments with a sizable grain of salt, given how many times everyone thought Rose was finally back to his old self. Yet, when he makes plays like these — contorting, impossibly-angled layups that shouldn’t go in but somehow do — it’s easy to believe that at least the old Derrick Rose is still somewhere in there, waiting to be let out.
