The fallout from Kevin Durant’s decision to pull up his roots in Oklahoma City and head to Golden State to join up with Steph Curry and the Warriors has been vast. An entire organization needs to completely overhaul its team building strategy, a city has lost its signature star, etc. — but perhaps lost in the shuffle is Kd’s Southern Cuisine, Durant’s restaurant in OKC.

Durant’s spot was bombarded with negative Yelp reviews when he announced his free agency decision, and it has since closed its doors. Well, Thunder big man Enes Kanter has an idea for what it should be called when it rebrands and reopens, and it’s goddamned brilliant:

Kanter and his fellow tall Thunder guy Steven Adams bonded over Turkish and Halal food, and a line of Staches’ Turkish/Kiwi restaurants, besides being a legitimately interesting cuisine option, would instantly have some of the best branding around. Maybe they could bring in some of the Halal Guys to help in the kitchen.

As serious as the Thunder’s sea change is, Kanter and Adams have had the right attitude about it the whole way. This new idea, as joking as it may be, is an excellent study of how to deal with a tough situation with humor and goodwill.
