Non-British actor Brad Pitt still had plenty of reasons to celebrate at last night’s British Film and TV Academy awards ceremony, as 12 Years a Slave took home the honor for Best Film in 2014 (not to be confused with Outstanding British Film, which went to the super British Gravity). Pitt wasn’t nominated for any individual awards, but he didn’t need to be to celebrate the big victory and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Leading Actor win for 12 Years as well. So he just kind of showed up to do his A-list thing with his A-list wife, Angelina Jolie, and they just so happened to wear the same outfit, because f*ck it.
I’m not sure what the shrieking harpies of E!’s Fashion Police had to say about Jolie’s decision to wear a matching tux with her man, but I don’t think it really matters. There’s not much that Jolie couldn’t wear while looking fantastic, short of a Joan Rivers mask made of her actual face. But even then, she’d probably get a B+ from Kelly Osbourne.
