Hydrogen Powered Boat Makes Its Own Fuel, and Own Gravy

We often make fun of the French here in America, but they do actually have some good ideas occasionally, like champagne or Brigitte Bardot before she started spouting racist idiocy. And they’re as dedicated to saving the environment as we are.

You know, to the degree that they make ridiculously expensive “green” luxury vehicles.

Meet the MIG-675. It’s a speedboat that runs entirely on hydrogen, and in order to keep the buyers from being worried about huge tanks of an explosive gas sitting in the back waiting to smear them across the Riviera or Calais or wherever rich French people go boating, it has an active hydrogen plant, meaning it makes its own fuel.

Worried about dropping water levels? The only exhaust is…water!

Of course, this isn’t cheap: $325,000. But, hey, think of what you’ll save on gas!
