Last week, Gotham rebooted its story and formula with its season two premiere. Gone is last year’s cookie cutter procedural narrative and from the looks of things, things are about to get really weird and dark on Fox. We’ve got that kooky Penguin taking on the new role as the city’s mob boss, while a weirder bird-themed villain — who eats people’s faces and loves the color pink — is set to pay everyone a visit later this season. A few days ago, a new red band trailer hit which teased the second episode of this new season, titled “Knock Knock,” and by the looks of things, “the Maniax” from Arkham Asylum are about to wreak some havoc.
The above clip shows Theo Galavan (played by James Frain) having an intense chat with the city’s mayor. Last week Galavan’s sister Tabitha (Tigress) broke the likes of Barbara Kean, Jerome Valeska, Richard Sionis, Arnold Dobkins, Aaron Kelzinger, and Robert Greenwood out of lockup. Tonight’s episode is set to show exactly what type of terror the Galavans intend to unleash across the streets of Gotham.
Below are two more clips released by Fox showing Jim Gordon’s triumphant return to the GCPD, as he investigates Arkham’s escaped inmates. But alas, an unexpected visitor throws the great detective off his game.
The new episode of Gotham: Rise Of The Villains will air tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox.
