Star Wars: Battlefront is a gorgeous game, and a pretty entertaining experience when playing online, but you should stay far away if you’re planning to play it on your own. Aside from a few halfhearted missions, Star Wars: Battlefront doesn’t really have any single-player content. Plenty of fans have complained about this, but it’s pretty easy for mega corporations like EA and Disney to ignore individual gamers. But what if the co-lead of the latest Star Wars movie were to call them out?
That’s exactly what happened last evening when John Boyega tweeted at EA about the lack of a Star Wars: Battlefront story mode.
@EAStarWars Will fans get a full on offline story mode? It's more of an enjoyable way to learn controls.

What's weird is killing stormtroopers online before .... Actually killing stormtroopers... 😂😂

After a bit of a delay, EA responded, sheepishly asking if he’d played the game’s missions. Boyega wasn’t about to fall for that diversion, though…
@JohnBoyega Have you had a chance to try the Missions?

@EAStarWars yeah thought it was great! But definitely leaves you wanting to engage within a narrative. Can I visit your base in the uk?

@JohnBoyega I am sure we can arrange something.

Nice to see that John Boyega still engages with Star Wars material as a genuine fan, and that he also still holds it to a high standard. If Boyega has a free minute sometime, EA should get him to look at all their upcoming Star Wars games. Seems like the dude could give some valuable input, and you don’t argue with a guy who knows how to handle a lightsaber.
