Captain America: The First Avenger opens next Friday, so Marvel Studios and Paramount released two clips. The first shows Steve Rogers undergoing treatment to become a super soldier, which was all the excuse I needed for the “dat ass” photoshop above. The second clip shows Captain America fighting some of the Red Skull’s faceless, identical followers.
We’ve seen surprisingly few clips from this film. It seems like they aren’t promoting it much compared to, say, Green Lantern or X-Men: First Class. It’s probably for the best; how much money do they really need to spend promoting a movie where Captain America punches Nazis? It sells itself. Or as Samuel L. Jackson said about one of his previous masterpieces (Snakes on a Plane), “Man, you either want to see that or you don’t.”
