‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Goes To Group Therapy And Evan Peters Wears A Ridiculous Wig

As popular recording outfit Simple Plan have thoroughly documented, being young is like really super hard, you guys. SHUT UP! YOU’RE NOT MY REAL DAD! YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW! *slams bedroom door* Sorry, where were we? Ah yes! Growing up is tough and that’s not including the added complications that come from trying to navigate a potential global extension event.

MTV After Hours with Josh Horowitz recognizes this dilemma and as a result we have a delightful sketch featuring a collection of X Men: Apocalypse characters talking about their feelings and showcasing a heartwarmingly craptastic wig. Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), and Jubilee (Lana Condor) are a bit too early/late to get their shot at appearing on The Real World: Xavier’s School, but they do get to get some things off their chest. Like why can’t they be called X-People? Or why can’t Beast just clean his gnarly blue fur out of the shower drain? Oh, also there seems to be a lack of decorum when it comes to Cyclops and Jean Grey’s superpowered trips to the bone zone.

“Oh my god, you guys are making everyone sick!” moaned Quicksilver while Storm does some helpful gesticulating. “I saw what you were doing in the Danger Room the other day, the floating 69 you guys were doing.”

See? This is what happens when mutants stop being polite and start getting real. Anyway, this silly, somewhat dirty and pretty darn charming sketch is worth a gander even if X-Men: Apocalypse isn’t your cup of tea. Here’s hoping the wig Evan Peters is using in this bit gets its own spin-off.
