Alicia Vikander is a great addition to Tomb Raider, but it needs one more

Though it was previously rumored that Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley was being eyed to play Lara Croft in the Warner Brothers reboot of Tomb Raider, Deadline now reports that Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl, Ex Machina) has been tapped to play the role.

Roar Uthaug (The Wave) is set to direct the origin story that sees Croft tested on her first adventure.
