AMC has renewed Better Call Saul for a third season, with co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould continuing as showrunners of the Breaking Bad prequel.

Like the first two, Saul season 3 will consist of 10 episodes. Originally, the plan was to make 13 for the current season, but as Gould told me last month, the process of making more episodes turned out to be harder than they had anticipated, and, “It just doesn't seem to be in the cards for us to do more than 10 a year at the moment.”

Saul is a hit for AMC, and one of the best shows on TV (here's my review of last night's episode), so this is more a formality than anything else. Still, it's good to know we still have a good while to spend in Jimmy McGill's world.
