First trailer for ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ is appropriately peculiar

What if the “X-Men” had taken place in the past and instead of Professor Xavier, the children had been taken in by a Victorian-esque lady with a secret? That”s the premise of “Miss Peregrine”s Home for Peculiar Children.”

Based on the best-selling novel by Ransom Riggs, “Miss Peregrine”s” is basically a kid-friendly introduction to the macabre. So it seems fitting the first teaser has a slightly ominous undertone (since “Fallout” one can”t hear 1940s music without unease).

Happy Looper Day!*

*Looper Day is a special holiday celebrated by the children under Miss Peregrine”s care every September 3rd.
