Sam Coleman, the actor who played the young version of the gentle giant from Game of Thrones, has written a song to commemorate the character who recently met his demise on the wildly-popular HBO series.
The ditty, not surprisingly called “Hold the Door,” is a “storytelling song” recalling how Hodor gave his life to protect Bran Stark. The song from the 19-year-old Brit, is pretty literal with lyrics like, “I only had one mission; A simple one, I knew I had to face; When I reached the time and place; Hold the door.”
Give it a listen. It”s not great, but it”s better than your average Justin Bieber number.
