When Taylor Swift released “Blank Space” last year, it showed a surprising amount of self-awareness as to her public image. So of course Nerdist took the themes of public expectation and channeled it into a “Game of Thrones” parody.
Instead of telling a story about the cycle of doomed infatuation, it feeds off the fear that fan favorites won”t live to see the spring.
The song was written by Freddy Scott, and the music video was directed by Andrew Bowser and Ben Mekler.
