Iron Man and Captain America see more action in extended ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ trailer

While Marvel unleashed plenty of high-flying, Hulk-busting action in the first trailer for “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” there are still plenty of superheroic sights to behold, just in case you aren't yet sold on the sequel.

An extended version of the trailer hit the Internet today, and among the precious new footage are several shots of Earth's Mightiest Heroes doing what they do.

Although it's primarily the same as the initial trailer, this one features a longer look at the villainous Ultron. As creepily voiced by James Spader, the A.I. enemy warns the Avengers, “There's only one path to peace: your extinction,” before unleashing a pair of robot henchmen.

Later, we get a few new glimpses of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) Captain America (Chris Evans) and newcomer Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) in action. There's also a lingering glance at Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders).

It's not much, but it's enough to get fans' hearts racing, and all without giving any too much plot.

Watch it here:

Written and directed by Joss Whedon, “Ultron” also features the return of Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner, plus newcomers Elizabeth Olsen and Andy Serkis.

“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” doesn't open until May 1, so prepare yourself for six months of saturation marketing.
