Hulk confirmed for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

Earlier this week, JoBlo reported that Marvel had finally honed in on the answer to the “what do we do with Hulk next?” question: Send him to an end-of-days-sized battle with Thor in the upcoming sequel “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Several trades (via ComingSoon) are now reporting that Marvel is, in fact, in the final stages of negotiations with Mark Ruffalo for his Phase 3 appearances.

As Drew wrote, there”s been much ado about Hulk heading to space and the possible inclusion of a Planet Hulk element. The latter remains to be seen. However, “Thor: Ragnarok” is rumored to include a “distant” planet that is neither Asgard nor Earth. We”ll let you speculated on what that may mean for the God of Thunder and the Green Goliath.

Among other plot elements, “Thor: Ragnarok” will address the “Dark World” cliffhanger, as Loki (Tom Hiddleston) has taken over Odin”s (Anthony Hopkins) identity and sits upon the Asgardian throne.

Christopher Yost (“Thor: The Dark World”) and Craig Kyle penned the script for “Thor: Ragnarok,” and “Flight of the Conchords” and “What We Do in the Shadows” director Taika Waititi is in talks to helm the film.

We will keep you updated as details emerge.

In the interim, take here's how we think all this may play out…
