Why we should all care about #FreeKesha

Over the past week, the hashtag #FreeKesha has spread across the Twitterverse as both celebrities and non have come out in support of the singer who was denied an injunction to break her contract with Dr. Luke and Kemosabe label, owned by Sony.

EW has captured the celebrity response to the case here.

The singer alleges that Dr. Luke sexually assaulted her and says she feels unsafe working for his label. Though she would not have to work for him directly, according to the ruling Kesha would still need to record for Dr. Luke”s label, thus indirectly work with him and earn him money.

Here, Alicia Malone, Roth Cornet, and Miri Jedeikin talk about the larger implications of the case.
