Matt LeBlanc made a creepy comment to Emilia Clarke, probably never watched ‘Game of Thrones’

Game of Thrones is one of the most-watched shows on television. Period. It is the 21st-century version of M.A.S.H. Even if you don”t watch, you probably know more about Westeros and Essos than you do about the socio-political history of your own country. So of course, they”re at the Emmys tonight.

And of course(?), Matt LeBlanc was hooked up via satellite to talk with Emilia Clarke about how much of a fan he is. Even though they were literally yards away from each other, being interviewed on the same red carpet. But if LeBlanc had been face-to-face with Clarke, he may have been forced to remember she is a human woman and therefore he should not say things like this:

In case you can”t watch the video (or it stops working because the Internet is a mysterious and fickle mistress), here”s the quote:

“I saw the first season [of Game of Thrones] and I fell out of touch with it. And I guess that”s when she started getting naked. So I need to catch up.”

To the surprise of no one, the camera opted to not cut back to Clarke during this revelation. And while Twitter is annoyed that LeBlanc admitted on national television that he watches Game of Thrones for the ‘sexposition,” I”m just gonna have to press pause for a second…

What do you mean Daenerys ‘starts” getting naked after the first season? She was naked for a significant portion of every season through the finale of Season 3! Which was when Clarke put the kibosh on nudity for several years. But yeah, Dany spends a large chunk of the first season being forcibly disrobed by the men in her life before finally getting into her name day suit of her own accord when she births the dragons.

Matt LeBlanc, did you just lie about watching Game of Thrones on national television in order to be a ‘good old boy” and/or creepy dude? I think you might have.
