Paula Deen launching “The Paula Deen Network” on the web
The subscriber-based online network will launch in September featuring exclusive videos of Deen, who said she opted for the web after fielding TV offers. “After much research and talking to our fans, this is what they wanted. They wanted to be able to watch me anytime, anywhere, any place,” says Deen. “iPads are so much lighter to tote around than a TV. In a network program, you only have 22 minutes. The fans are going to see things they have never seen before. They are going to see all of me.”
George R.R. Martin wishes “Game of Thrones” had 13 episodes a season
“I wish we had more episodes,” he tells the NY Times. “I”d love to have 13 episodes. With 13 episodes, we could include smaller scenes that we had to cut, scenes that make the story deeper and richer.” Martin also spoke of the changes between the book and the TV series. “The butterfly effects are accumulating,” he says.
