When Little Golden Books were conceived as a series of realistic children’s books in 1942, this probably isn’t what co-creator Lucy Mitchell had in mind. But almost anyone who grew up reading ‘The Poky Little Puppy’ or ‘The Saggy Baggy Elephant’ would love to get their hands on some satirically nostalgic takes on today’s popular movies and television shows. Sadly it is not to be…yet. But until then, we’ll have to let our imaginations tell the stories promised by these brilliant fan art covers.
