Prince’s Paisley Park home to become museum

As the music world continues to mourn the passing of one of its all time greats in Prince, fans of the legend may soon have a Purple Graceland to remember the singer and his accomplishments for years to come.

The Sun is reporting that the late singer”s 50,000 square foot Paisley Park home/studio outside of Minneapolis will become a museum.

“We will turn Paisley Park into a museum in Prince”s memory,” said Maurice Phillips, the late singer”s brother-in-law. “It would be for the fans. He was all about the fans – this would remember his music, which is his legacy…Prince was always private but would have wanted his music remembered.”

Whether this museum will come to pass, that could be up in the air. The Associated Press is reporting that Prince had no known will, but his sister Tyka Nelson, who is married to Phillips, has filed to become executor of the estate.

Prince died April 21 at age 57. The cause of death has not yet been announced.
