‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’: ‘People vs. O.J.’ star joins cast

The verdict is in. Spider-Man: Homecoming producers have judged Kenneth Choi worthy of joining the upcoming superhero flick.

Choi, who most recently played Judge Lance Ito in the wildly-popular FX series The People vs. O.J. Simpson, has signed on to the latest reboot of Spider-Man. Choi will play the school principal, this according to Deadline.

This is not Choi's first venture into the world of the superheroes. He played Jim Morita in Captain America: The First Avenger and reprised the role in the TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In addition to Choi, the film will also star Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Rumors have been percolating regarding the potential casting of Michael Keaton as a villain, but nothing is certain yet.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled for a July 2017 release.
