Stephen Colbert’s ‘Hungry for Power Games’ bids farewell to Marco Rubio

With only six presidential candidate hopefuls left, the days of my favorite recurring Late Show With Stephen Colbert skit, the “Hungry for Power Games,” are numbered. We got what should be one of the last installments last night, as Colbert bid Marco Rubio adieu.

“Tribute Marco leaves us after a string of triumphant third place victories,” Colbert said. “But was blindsided by Tuesday's shocking second place defeat in Florida.”

“He was supposed to become the Jeb Bush people liked,” Colbert continued. “Instead, he became the Jeb Bush. Please clap.”

And clap they did, as the man from District Thirsty faded into obscurity.
