Sure, thousands of actors are vying to play a young Han Solo, but there probably will never be another actor playing Harrison Ford's other iconic role.

Steven Spielberg told Screen Daily that he wants to make a fifth “Indiana,” but wouldn't use another actor to play the role. Over the years, there have been rumors that a younger actor would take over as Indy, especially as Ford, being a mere mortal, continues to age. Not so, says Spielberg.

“It's certainly not my intention to ever have another actor step into his shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Spider-Man or Batman,” Spielberg said. “There is only going to be one actor playing Indiana Jones and that's Harrison Ford.”

Ford has said he'd be interested in returning, and Spielberg seems ready for it, saying “there are more adventures out there.”
