‘Suicide’ mission: Petition lauched to sack Rotten Tomatoes over ‘Squad’ reviews

Can”t we all just get along?

As we”ve previously reported, Suicide Squad is getting tepid reviews, currently tracking at just 33 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Well, it turns out a cadre of DC fans are none too pleased about this and demanding…ugh…the review aggregator site be shut down.

The typo-riddled petition from someone named Abdullah Coldwater (or whatever his real name is) has emerged on Change.org. He wrote, “We need this site to be shut down because It's Critics always give The DC Extended Universe movies unjust Bad Reviews, Like 1- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016 2- Suicide Squad 2016, and that Affects people's opinion even if it's a really great movies.”

To date, more than 12,500 like-minded DC supporters have joined the foolhardy mission. In the process, it”s also drawn scorn from others who remind Coldwater that the site collects reviews and does not generate them.

“11,000+ angry dudes living at home with their parents are really salty about Suicide Squad's Rotten Tomatoes score,” wrote Fortune Magazine”s Will Federman.

Since originally launching his campaign, Coldwater has chosen to slightly modify his goal.  He wrote with additional typos, “A petition definitely won't shut down the site. The aim of the petition is to deliver a message to the critics that there is a lot of people disagree with their reviews.”

You can decide for yourself when Suicide Squad is out in theaters on August 5.
