TV’s Best Non-Romantic Odd Couples

The original TV The Odd Couple went off the air in 1975, but the concept of two mismatched friends both predated the show and outlived it. Odd couples are the meat and potatoes (or, more accurately, the meat and sushi or the potatoes and no-carb lettuce wrap) of entertainment — conflict and affection go neatly (or, in Oscar's case, messily) hand-in-hand. While the The Odd Couple starring Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon is loyal to the original's two divorced guy premise, the idea has been twisted into countless permutations over the years.

In anticipation of the Perry-Lennon Odd Couple's season 2 premiere this Thursday, check out the gallery below for our list of some of the most memorable TV pairings.
