Watch: The Muppets show how to launch a comeback in three new clips

In the upcoming “The Muppets,” Jason Segel and Amy Adams help resurrect the fading starpower of the Kermit, Ms. Piggy, Animal and the rest of the original gang.

These brand new clips shows us what it takes for the Muppets to make a comeback, via a fundraising telethon.

First thing’s first — The Muppets need a venue. In the above clip, Kermit and the gang head to various TV networks to pitch their telethon, but get the same answer from all the executives, even though translation is necessary in one meeting. Eventually, network exec Rashida Jones (“Parks and Recreation”) OKs the show.

Secondly, they need to practice (even Fozzie’s stale jokes are rustier than usual). In this clip, Kermit discovers that Piggy has a new dance partner, the suave Pepe the Prawn. Cue the requisite “Dirty Dancing” theme.

Finally, the Muppets need to clean up their old theater that’s been falling apart since their last performance there in the ’80s. This “boring” clips starts with Scooter lazily sweeping the floor. Things kick into high gear with a little help from a Starship song and Animal’s glee at finding his old drums. I need some Muppets to help clean my apartment.

Chris Cooper (“Adaptation”) also stars, along with various celebrities who make cameos (we don’t want to spoil any of them). Segel co-wrote the film with his “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” collaborator Nicholas Stoller.

“The Muppets” opens nationwide November 25.
