Donald Trump Did An ‘Impression’ Of A Disabled Reporter, And People Were Not Happy

Donald Trump has outdone himself during his past week on the GOP campaign trail. He made Bill O’Reilly look like the voice of reason during a heated discussion of Syrian refugees and ISIS. He praised attendees at an Alabama rally after they “roughed up” a Black Lives Matter protester. He also made several bizarre statements of recollection about 9/11. Trump said he witnessed people jumping from the Twin Towers, and he also saw Muslims cheering in the streets. He then praised the practice of waterboarding.

However, Trump may have hit a new low in the above video footage, which was captured during a rally in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Trump attempted to defend his 9/11 statements while discussing New York Times investigative reporter Serge Kovaleski’s memory of a previous article. In doing so, he mocked Kovaleski’s disability, arthrogryposis, a congenital condition that renders his arms inflexible. Fifteen seconds into the clip, this happened:

“Now, the poor guy – you’ve got to see this guy, ‘Ah, I don’t know what I said! I don’t remember!'” Trump said as he jerked his arms in front of his body.

The gesture was all the more personal because Kovaleski covered Trump while reporting for the New York Daily News between 1987 and 1993, a tumultuous period for Trump in which he struggled through several financial setbacks.

“The sad part about it is, it didn’t in the slightest bit jar or surprise me that Donald Trump would do something this low-rent, given his track record,” Kovaleski said.

Yes, this man is running for the highest office in our fair country. Here’s what Trump had to say in response to the New York Times‘ “hit” piece:

The general consensus from Twitter is probably what you’re thinking too.

Also at the South Carolina rally, Trump humblebragged about his omnipotent abilities, which includes being “the first guy that really predicted terrorism.” For real, Trump says “I can feel it” coming. That feeling … it may be gas.
