We now know why Donald Trump tweeted “They will soon be calling me MR. BREXIT!” last week. The Republican presidential nominee will reportedly bring the other Mr. Brexit, Nigel Farage, to speak with him at a campaign rally Wednesday in Jackson, Mississippi.

According to The Guardian, Farage will appear with Trump in Jackson to “to tell U.S. voters ‘the Brexit story’ of how he triumphed over the electoral odds.” He is not expected to endorse Trump. Aaron Banks, the businessman who backed Brexit campaign group Leave.EU, tweeted Wednesday that he will be having dinner with Trump Wednesday night and is “looking forward to Nigel’s speech!”

The United Kingdom voted in June to leave the European Union in the near future. Farage, who led the “leave” charge as the leader of the country’s far right Independence Party (UKIP), stepped down quickly after the Brexit passed, stating that he’d “done his bit” and wants his “life back.”
Trump made waves back in June when he tweeted his support for the UK’s Brexit vote and attributed its passage to support from Scotland — which voted strongly to stay in the EU. Trump’s new campaign CEO Stephen Bannon, former chairman of Breitbart, was an enthusiastic supporter of the Brexit.
