San Diego Chargers LB Brock Hekking Eating 21,000 Calories Will Make You Hungry (Or Sick)

If you don’t know who San Diego Chargers linebacker Brock Hekking is, there are really only a few things you need to know. First, he’s a rookie out of the University of Nevada. Secondly, his hair is s-p-e-c-t-a-c-u-l-a-r. Seriously, look at that gorgeous, flowing mane:

Third, Hekking, who is 256 pounds, can consume more than 21,000 calories in a single sitting. To be more specific, he can consume 21, 396 calories in 43 minutes. To put that into context, that’s probably two full Thanksgiving meals for a large family and twice as many calories as Michael Phelps could eat, presumably when he wasn’t stoned #SportsScience.

The folks at Bleacher Report teamed up with Hekking to show just how much he can eat in one sitting at Phil’s BBQ in San Diego and, well, it’s enough to make you hungry. Or sick to your stomach. Either one.

The last time we talked about gluttony on here, it was in reference to the Chicago Cubs and the infamous “Billy Goat Curse.” Long story short, a bunch of competitive eaters decided it would be a peachy idea to consume an entire goat so the Cubs would win the World Series. And, wouldn’t you know it, the Cubs defeated the Cardinals in the NLDS.

What we’re trying to say is, the Chargers are totally going to win the Super Bowl.
