Not that Fox News is going to weep into their Freedom Fries over this, but French television is making fun of them and it’s pretty hilarious. France’s satirical news show, Le Petit Journal, staged a parody of the now-retracted sensationalist reports by Fox News about Paris being so riddled with Islamic terrorism it’s one of many European “no-go zones” for people who are non-Muslims. Meaning, people who aren’t Muslim are not being allowed to enter these “no-go zones” in cities like Paris and Birmingham. Part of their intrepid reporting came from none other than Duck Dynasty‘s Phil Robertson, so you know they were dead serious about this matter.

In the clip, a pair of fake Fox News reporters hit the streets of Paris to show everyone how incredibly dangerous the city is now that it’s home to so many Islamic terrorists. Can you deny the threat while standing under a sign that says “Couscous”? No, you cannot. The video above begins with an introduction in French, but the fake report is in mostly (broken) English.

Less funny for Fox News, however, are the perfectly serious comments by the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo. She did not find the persistent and false reports about her city very amusing and is now throwing the idea of a lawsuit out in the open.

“When we’re insulted, and when we’ve had an image, then I think we’ll have to sue, I think we’ll have to go to court, in order to have these words removed,” Hidalgo told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. “The image of Paris has been prejudiced, and the honor of Paris has been prejudiced.”

Fox News has already apologized for their extremely bad reporting job, but I doubt that will stop them from continuing to provide a steady stream of comedy material for the entire globe.
