Did The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Showrunners Already Confirm Jon Snow’s Season Six Fate Months Ago?

This post contains possible spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 6

Obviously if you haven’t watched the season finale of Game of Thrones yet, you’re going to want to skip this post. If you have or you’ve read any of the number of articles on this site, you know that Jon Snow was betrayed in the final moments of the episode and ended up in a pool of his own blood as the screen went black. Many think he’s dead, including Kit Harington, and others think the actor’s hair and other leaked spoilers point to another fate for the actor in Season 6.

Well as it turns out, Dan Weiss and David Benioff might’ve already let the cat out of the bag in regards to Snow’s fate in Season 6. Better yet, it was during an event we covered way back in March during an Oxford Union Game of Thrones panel to promote Season 5. I’m sure plenty of folks caught it at the time, but glanced over it because everybody was having a good laugh at Harington’s expense according to The Huffington Post:

When a fan asked what other character Harington and Bradley would want to play on the series, Harington said, “I’d like to be a warg. I’d like to put myself into a wolf.” Yes, Harington actually said those words before we ever saw Jon Snow get stabbed.

Even more shocking is what Weiss said in response. “Two words for you: Season 6.”

You can see the moment synched to the 22 minute mark below, but I think the quote is clear enough. It really wouldn’t be a surprise to see Snow makes a comeback of some sort, probably as a wolf to have weird sex with someone (you know George R.R. Martin is thinking it). I think the odds of that are better than him just being stone cold dead on The Wall. That said, who knows? There’s plenty of trickery that could be pulled between now and the end of the series. What do you think?
