There’s a fun fact floating around the Internet that says Donald Trump is a poo-poo head. Also, the nightmare-scenario-president has “been the subject of at least 2,159 CNN reports,” according to the Wall Street Journal. That’s more than Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz, combined, and doesn’t include the attention he received last night at the GOP Debate in California.

All that Trump-y repetition is apparently paying off, though: The mockery of a debate was watched by 22.9 million viewers, the most in CNN’s history. It smashed the old record of 16.8 million, when Al Gore and Ross Perot had a riveting discussion about NAFTA on Larry King Live. That special might have put you to sleep, but at least you didn’t have to look at this.

For comparison’s sake, CNN’s most-watched presidential primary debate before Wednesday was a Democratic debate on January 31, 2008. It had an average of 8.3 million viewers. Wednesday’s debate also set a live-streaming record for the network.

At its online peak around 9:45 p.m., there were 921,000 concurrent users on CNN’s live stream, easily making it the most-watched web stream of a primary debate ever. (Via)

Expect CNN to turn into all Trump, all the time. So, basically NBC in the mid-2000s.
