Davos Seaworth Knows A ‘Game Of Thrones’ Secret From George R.R. Martin And Isn’t Telling

Liam Cunningham stopped by Conan to chat about the upcoming season of Game of Thrones, including a clip that possibly has a bit to do with Jon Snow and the Night’s Watch — spoilers possible ahead. He also revealed that he knows a secret that was shared by George R.R. Martin himself, but he isn’t about to share it with anybody.

The reason he might not be sharing could have something to do with liking his job. It might have something to do with his respect for George R.R. Martin and the story on Game of Thrones. Or it could have something to do with the sniper that HBO has sitting in the audience.

I’d go with the first option, but that sniper one would be pretty cool if true. Then again, HBO isn’t exactly shipping around people to kill those folks who leaked Game of Thrones online last season. Also Ian McShane and plenty of others are still alive, with Stephen Dillane almost wincing at acknowledging his time on the show. Cunningham certainly doesn’t feel the same, so maybe that’s why he’s sticking around and getting the big secrets.

Also the clip we got as a tease looks awesome. A growling direwolf, a bunch of angry guys trying to bust down a door, some possibly foolish bravery on display. It looks like it might be a pretty fun premiere, until it disappoints and fades to black on a cliffhanger like every other popular show on television.
