A ‘Walking Dead’ Star Compares Donald Trump To Negan, And It’s Kind Of Perfect

In this never-ending presidential election cycle, the most obvious and popular historical comparison is “Donald Trump is Hitler.” Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong — who wrote a song called “American Idiot,” so you can tell he’s done his homework — said “that’s f*cking Hitler, man!” when talking about the aspiring commander-in-chief’s followers. That echoes sentiments made by Louis C.K., who wrote, “The guy is Hitler. And by that I mean that we are being Germany in the ’30s. Do you think they saw the sh*t coming? Hitler was just some hilarious and refreshing dude with a weird comb over who would say anything at all.” Even Trump’s biggest fans can’t tell the difference.

The latest walking op-ed piece to note the resemblance between Trump and Hitler (you know what they say about tiny hands?): The Walking Dead‘s Michael Cudlitz. “I think Trump would be more like Negan and [Hillary] would be more like Rick, kind of go with the political when you can but not afraid to kill everybody if they had to,” he told the Huffington Post. “But Negan’s a little bit of a loose cannon, and Trump is a little bit of a loose cannon. And that’s not me being political. That’s by his own description, so yeah, I think we actually have our Negan and our Rick. And neither one is perfect.”

What are the odds Trump attends his first debate against Clinton with a barbed-wire baseball bat in hand? Pretty good, right?
