One of the more popular series on Newgrounds, David Firth’s creation is pretty much a great argument for the power of the Web, or the long tail, or whatever Web 2.0 term you want to apply to “making money off a cult following.” Nobody would ever throw money at this, but in 2005 Firth got featured in the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the year’s top ten pop culture phenomenons.
