Facebook Is Becoming The Top Destination For Exposing Cheating Lovers

Getting caught cheating on Facebook is a tale as old as time (or at least as old as Facebook), but there’s apparently a new wave of public shaming going on because more and more philandering lovers have been carelessly using social media to engage in their “extracurricular activities.” And the cheated-on halves of these relationships are taking advantage of captive online audiences with a little public shaming.

For example, when one woman changed her status from “Engaged” to “It’s Complicated,” her fiancee replied: “[I]t’s not complicated. You got caught [with] numerous men.”

Then there was the steadfast woman who swore she’d find a man who treated her right: “well everybody im single again. but guess what im not upset cuz why would i want someone thats gonna cheat on me.” She later explained the reason for her post: “He wanted to b with his wife.”

But when I say “careless,” I mean it. Many of these precious, beautiful romances are ruined by the mere act of walking away with a Facebook page open for all to read:

‘Dear Marshall, you left your Facebook logged on! Just wanted you to know how cute it is to see you flirting with massive amounts of girls.

‘Kind of humiliating for me, really… but now you can feel my pain! I’m sorry I wasn’t “good enough” for you not to do that to me.

‘Here’s the thing, now you’re single… so you can do whatever you want!’

Her message ended with the final sting, ‘remember our agreement? I’ll take that XBox when you’re ready.’

We are in a great, big, beautiful tomorrow that’s all about sharing and oversharing — secrets, people, STDs, you name it — everyone is open game. Especially if you’re too dumb to know better.
