These guys, they know what they’re doing. Dan Harmon & Co. have once again proven themselves to be fan boys and girls, not unlike successful versions of you and I, and booked Gus Fring himself, Giancarlo Esposito, to appear on an upcoming episode of “Community.” According to Vulture:
We’ve confirmed that [“Breaking Bad” star] Esposito will appear in an upcoming episode as a business associate of Pierce’s late father, Cornelius Hawthorne. While the exact reason for his visit is being kept under wraps, we’re going to assume that anyone related to Pierce’s racist dad can’t be a particularly nice guy…Esposito began work on his “Community” episode this week. Just when Esposito’s half-hour will air is unclear, in part because NBC has not yet set a return date for the show.
So, in the past year, “Community” has: 1) put Alison Brie in increasingly sexy outfits (NECESSARY); 2) booked someone from “The Wire,” Michael K. Williams, and “Freaks and Geeks,” Martin Starr; 3) cast John Goodman; and 4) devoted an entire montage to “Kiss from a Rose” with pictures of bunnies in the background. And now this. Clearly, Harmon’s listening to the demands of the Internet. WHAT SHOULD WE ASK FOR NEXT?
