There are some things you don’t know you need until you have them. Kermit the Frog singing The White Stripes’ “Fell In Love With A Girl” with Jack White as a means of working through his relationship troubles is one of those things.

The clip comes from the season Finale of The Muppets, where Kermit is both trying to fill a void in Mrs. Piggy’s late night show and also salvage his relationship with the host. To underline the nature of the spot he’s in, Kermit is singing along to “It Ain’t Easy Being Green” in his car. He rolls up on Jack White singing “You Are The Sunshine Of My Life” in his on-brand retro vehicle. The two come to an agreement to have Jack White on the show aaaand smash cut to the payoff, Kermit and Jack going ape to “Fell In Love With A Girl.”

It’s far from the first time that The Muppets has used a star to let their rock geek show. Animal famously had a drum-off with the Foo Fighters frontman/unofficial UPROXX mascot Dave Grohl earlier in the season.

Of course, the Internet has seen to it that the Muppets cover all sorts of songs that wouldn’t make it past ABC’s censors. Thanks to the wonders of cheap editing software and boredom, Muppet stans can see their felt friends take on N.W.A.’s “Express Yourself”, Eminem’s “My Name Is” and my personal favorite M.O.P.’s “Ante Up.”
