Coach Brad Stevens Had Some Serious Spring On This Sick Jam At Celtics Practice

The Boston Celtics currently sit at third place in the Eastern Conference with a 35-25 record, and despite not making any big moves at the trade deadline — such as possibly acquiring Carmelo Anthony — the fact that coach Brad Stevens has his team contending with its current roster should garner him some serious Coach of the Year consideration.

At a recent Celtics practice, though, Stevens proved that he was nearly as good at dunking as he was at coaching. Boston had some trampolines brought into their facilities, and the 39-year-old proved he can still get up as he threw down a pretty one-handed jam — albeit with a little bit of an artificial boost.

Stevens is now 17 years removed from when he last suited up for division three DePauw University in 1999, but he more than proved he’s still got it. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the slam, though, was that Stevens managed to complete the dunk without falling or getting seriously injured, which is something I’m guessing only a small handful of NBA coaches would be able to accomplish. I say we find out with a trampoline-assisted NBA Dunk Contest among NBA head coaches at 2017 All-Star Game in Charlotte.
