The latest Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show with James Corden was teased a few weeks ago with Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas taking a ride with the host around town while belting out a few hits. There’s plenty of fun to be had with Nick Jonas and his purity ring, especially his very adult relationship that prompted him to take the ring off. But the real draw is the singing, with Lovato, Jonas, and Corden hitting that harmony just right at several moments during their ride.
After they discover their insane talent for making sweet music together, they decide to exit the vehicle and hit the streets for a little bit of a public performance. Instead of just singing songs from the radio, the trio pick up some instruments and take it to the next level. At least I’m sure they think they did.
And leave it to the famous celebrities to bully people into giving up their hard-earned money. I feel like if either Lovato or Jonas asked for money for a street performance, I would be offended. A figurative slap in the face by two of the biggest stars in the world. I also feel like they’d make the worst carpool members imaginable. Fine singers, but who needs that kind of singing on their way to work.
