Prior to the World Series match-up between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade concocted a friendly wager on the winner of the series. The bet made a great deal of sense given the current homes of both NBA superstars, and while Wade’s Cubs won, it is not quite time for the loser to pay up at the hands of the winner. It is, however, time for Wade to gloat a little bit.
On Thursday, Wade took to Instagram to prod James about Cleveland’s loss, using a SportsCenter mock-up of what LeBron would look like in a full Cubs uniform. While that was not the real deal, it appears that the reigning NBA Finals MVP will have to don Chicago gear on Dec. 2 in the Windy City.
Per his bet with Dwyane Wade, LeBron James has to wear a full Cubs uniform to United Center for Dec. 2 Bulls-Cavs game.

Wade also mentions some sort of side wager about wine – the full details of the bet are not available for public consumption. Still, this is the kind of thing that could help the brands of both players, as Wade’s initial challenge to James made the rounds in a big way. The World Series victory for the Cubs did a lot of good for a lot of people but, in this case, the result was basically an opportunity for LeBron to further endear himself to the city of Cleveland by presenting a loyal front.
