All the meetings are wrapped up, and now the top free agent on the market has an important decision to make. But before Gordon Hayward decides whether he will sign with the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, or Utah Jazz, the All-Star forward is going to take an evening and sleep on it.

Sam Amick of USA Today Sports broke the news that Hayward looks like he’s gearing up for a Fourth of July decision after meeting with the Jazz on Monday.

Going to bed the night before making a major life decision isn’t anything out of the ordinary, especially in the wild world of NBA free agency, where players will usually sign massive deals that lock up the next five years of their lives. But what is slightly out of the ordinary here is that Amick reports Hayward doesn’t seem to have any idea about where he wants to go after the Jazz made an effective pitch.

While it looked like Miami’s pitch to Hayward made them the favorites to land him, we’ve heard time and time again to never count out the team that has the last chance at making their case. That’s especially true in a scenario like this, where Hayward’s final meeting was with the only team he’s suited up for during his NBA career. No matter what, it looks like we’re gearing up for another major NBA free agency decision on July 4.
