Much to the surprise of no one, LaVar Ball and Joel Embiid are still going at one another. On Thursday, the Sixers’ young star expressed that he would not let the fact that he got fined $10,000 by the NBA for saying “f*ck LaVar Ball” keep him for tweeting. Per the unwritten rules of this beef, Ball had 72 hours to respond, and he finally did on Saturday.
ESPN’s Jovan Buha asked Ball about Embiid picking up the fine, which led to Ball proposing a plan where the NBA fines Embiid every time he cusses.

“He get fined every time he say a cuss word,” Ball said. “Like I said, his vocabulary is limited. I you bet he can’t say eff you more than I can say it to him, because his ass will be broke. When you working for somebody, shut your mouth.”
Those last two sentences kind of imply that Ball doesn’t plan on squashing this beef any time soon, if only because he seems like he kind of enjoys provoking Embiid into doing stuff and getting fined by the league. And he is right when he mentions that Embiid will get fined for being “inappropriate” while he would get off scot-free because Embiid has to answer to someone.
Of course, the limited vocabulary jab is wrong — Embiid fluently speaks five languages, so his vocabulary is probably quite extensive. But as long as Embiid keeps responding to Ball’s comments, he’ll run the risk of getting fined by the league, and this entire beef will continue to roll on.
