Tinashe’s Next Album Is Finally On The Way And She’s Celebrating With ‘Faded Love’ Featuring Future

If it feels like Tinashe’s Joyride has been on the way for forever now, that’s because it basically has. Her first album came out in 2014, and for one reason or another, Joyride just hasn’t happened yet. The good news, though, is that it’s about to. She just shared a nighttime-ready, R&B-pop, Future-featuring single “Faded Love,” and she told Zane Lowe that the album is all but ready to go.

“It is done,” she said. “My recording is done. I’m in the mixing process right now […] Our tracklist has been submitted, so it’s real! It’s really real. I’m very, very excited.” She added that also featuring on the album are French Montana and Ty Dolla Sign, and she also released “No Drama” featuring Offset in January. This follows what she said last March: “The good thing that fans should be excited about is that the album is just getting better and better. It’s not sitting in limbo, it’s being improved upon and growing all the time.”

Tinashe has previously blamed Joyride‘s delay on her “fake fans,” sexism, and colorism, and while that all may be up for debate, one thing that can’t be blamed is Tinashe’s productivity. Since Aquarius, she released Nightride (which is the first part of a double album completed by Joyride), her Amethyst mixtape, and some non-album singles, and she even performed at Wrestlemania.
