Very few people outside of Dan Snyder’s inner circle of jerks are against the Washington Redskins changing their name to something like Washington No Offense or Washington Clown Cars, because let me tell you, those clowns in Washington…Anyway, it’s one thing to not like the term “Redskins,” which you shouldn’t! But it’s another to be a reporter, and warn viewers about the “racial slur.”
While reporting upon the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s decision to cancel the trademark registration of the Washington Redskins, MSNBC host Joy Reid made known her distaste for the nickname by warning her viewers whenever someone else was about to say it.
Later in her segment, Reid introduced a clip of Sen. Harry Reid responding to Snyder, but made her distaste for “Redskins” known once more by telling her audience: “I just warn people, he does use the name of the team. So, I’m just going to warn you guys about that in advance.” (Via)
Jim Norton, a standup comedian who you might recognize from Louie (and his delightful awkward photos), was watching, and having none of it. Here he is on the Opie and Anthony Show.
“Who wants to live in that f*cking world where every single step you take is on an eggshell and one misstep gets you fired and what was OK today is not OK tomorrow?” Norton asked after listening to Reid’s comments, before using an equally offense word that starts with a “c” to describe the anchor. What a groveling, awful, f*cking hunk of sh*t network MSNBC is.” (Via)
MSNBC would respond, but they’ve got some BREAKING Bieber news to spew mouth-garbage at.
