Nicholas Brendon, otherwise known as Xander in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was arrested after an incident at a hotel where he was in town for a convention. This is the third time that has happened in six months.
While in Florida for ALTCon, Brendon reported his phone and wallet were stolen. When officers arrived to talk to him, he was wearing clothes covered in blood, toothpaste, toilet water, and his own waste. His wallet was on the dresser. Hotel employees said he had been mixing pills and alcohol, which police confirmed when they found a nearly empty pill bottle. It was supposed to have 10 pills, but only one was left.
Last October, Brendon was arrested while in Idaho City for Tree City Comic Con. He damaged property and resisted arrest. He was arrested again a month ago after Shock Pop Comic Con in Ft. Lauderdale, where he caused damage and didn’t pay his room service. His rep released a statement at that time:
“Nicholas is, unfortunately, battling a disease that many of us don’t understand. We are working with him to improve upon the situation at hand and look toward the future. He’s sorry for his actions and takes what happened last night very seriously. We will take great care to ensure his safety in the future.”
Hopefully Brendon is able to get the help he needs before it’s too late.
