The Warriors were down by 20 points entering the fourth quarter and fans were already filing out of Smoothie King Arena. The Warriors had other plans, and climbed back into the game to trail by three with under 10 seconds to play. Stephen Curry missed a three short on his first attempt, but Marreese Speights clutched yet another offensive rebound. Mo flipped it to Curry in the corner and Steph showed off his mettle.
The NBA was watching, despite the late hour, and while most just dropped one-word proclamations of disbelief, others mentioned that Curry was fouled on the shot. Yet everyone agrees, aside from shattered Pelicans fans, it was one of the most incredible NBA playoff moments we’ve ever seen.
Dell and Seth Curry certainly enjoyed it:
One-word declarations were the norm on Twitter:

Then came those who thought Steph had also gotten fouled on his game-tying three-pointer:
He got fouled too ha

And that was and 1. #StephCurry with the 3

What do you think?
But primarily people were just awestruck by what happened.

DIME friend Baron Davis delightfully noted Steph had his eyes closed on the shot:
Eyes Closed!!!! @StephenCurry30 really bro!?!?! Dayum…. pic.twitter.com/WpEuqp5K4e

While Pellies fans just looked on in terror:

But the shot was just an affirmation of Curry’s likely MVP season:
.@StephenCurry30 may have just won this years @NBA #mvp award with that 3 pointer to send game into OVERTIME.

It’s simple, Steph was spectacular. Even after such a blasé shooting night in the first three quarters — he only shot 34.5 percent from the floor (10-of-29) — he was there when the Warriors needed him the most.
Steph curry with that shot boooiiii.. @ESPNNBA

Woow that's all I have to say #dubnation

The Pellies and a chance to make this a series, but no NBA team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit to move on. Stephen Curry is biggest reason that’s where the Pelicans stand today.
